We stayed 3 night on separate occasions. You could hear the interstate but didn't bother me. I wished the curtains were a little better...the outside lighting kept me awake a little when we were on the lower floor. Second floor didn't bother me with the lighting. Front desk staff was great! Breakfast was ok.
Great for an overnight stay for us. Cheap hotel. Good location. Felt safe there.
Rooms were clean.
Since the owners didn't like my review, I was called and threatened to be sued for defamation of character by the owner of this hotel. Verabtim: "Jacqueline, trying to reach out, all this review that you wrote you need to adjust the review. You need to take our names off. Ranjan and myself. Otherwise we will see you in court. You have until Tuesday to adjust the review. As for all the cleaniness and credit card issues, you know you didn't "took" room service. Your credit card always declined, we have proof of this as well. So adjust your review, you have until Tuesday. I guarantee you we will see you in court if you don't. I guarantee you."
Well, just a little surprised when I got to my room. Never stayed in a Microtel before. I should have taken a clue from the name, but the rooms are quite small. I got a room that is supposedly for two, but it would be very tight with two people. Adequate for one, however. Rooms are clean and in good condition. No safe, fridge or microwave.
My rebuttal: We had weekly room service on Tuesdays. Is it our fault they didn't clean the sink on the outside or that they didn't clean the mirrors in 9 months or clean the A/C filter ever? As for the credit card issues, we have an American Express debit card and they took an extra 20% for incidentals. What incidentals? We couldn't make outgoing calls even. When my husband asked for the weekly amount to transfer the funds to pay for the week, Ranjan would say "We won't know until it goes through the system. We paid these ungrateful people over $17,000 and owe them NOTHING. Not a penny! In my original review I forgot to mention the awful people they would put beside us. My husband worked at nights and they were so loud it was horrible. When I called the front desk they would say "I'm sorry I can't do anything about it." We were always quiet and respectful of others. The walls are so thin it is ridiculous. Yes I believe you could hear children jumping up and down above you although they dispute it here. Furthermore, there is a loud train there, which they also dispute here. They do allow pets! I have seen people with pets in the hotel. Why else would they have a sign that says you will be charged $250 if you "sneak in pets."
Not much of a breakfast. Your choices are Corn Flakes, Raisin Bran, yogurt cup, a few pastries or a waffle. No source of protein (other than maybe the yogurt).
I don't take kindly to idol threats. Defamation of Character are lies. We have told the absolute truth. So help me God. Ask yourself, do you want to do business with these kind of people? Yes they are rude! Extremely rude. Furthermore, they threatened Trip Advisor and had our review removed! I can't stand liars!
I stayed there once no problem. The second time I tried to book a room there the hotel clerk Jay was very rude. He actually said “take this price or get another hotel” I got a room at the Hotel across the highway.
It's what you'd expect from a hotel that is half the price of a Holiday inn. It's clean though the lobby smells bad, the sheets were clean, bathroom looked decently clean, just soap and shampoo provided but there were a small fridge and microwave. Carpets and bathtub were stained. But like I said, you get what you pay for so for this type of inexpensive motel it wasn't bad.
