Wonderful, great staff.
I called and called to try to get something different. Left messages at 3 different line. I didn't hear anything back that day. I called the next day. Still no call back. It's going to be the weekend soon, and I'm out of medication. I eventually went in. Talked to the front desk girl and she told me to have a seat.20 minutes later she called me up to ask me my situation again. I sat and sat. Listening to the other patients nightmare stories of trying to get relief from their daily pain. Watching the people at the desk sit and talk and laugh about people waiting for prescriptions. and not even get up to ask about my question for 20 more minutes. Eventually they didn't do anything but give me a couoon. The way they made me feel about myself is wrong. The way they treat people with chronic pain is wrong. It took everything I had to get out of bed and go into the office because I believed they were going to help me. But instead I'm bedridden. With a coupon and a prescription That wont be in for at least 4 days. I left w
I understand there are drug dealers out there bit when a patient has been in pain management and has study after study showing causes of chronic pain, they shouldn't treat everyone like drug addicts. I left there feeling ashamed and with no relief, no help, just a coupon.
I finally got into see dr el mohandes after waiting 3 weeks. I brought my past MRI reports of my thoracic and lumbar spines. I had all of my paperwork ready before I showed up for my 2:15 appointment 45 minutes early - as my arrival time was supposed to be 130 for some reason. I finally got back to a room at 245 with a PA named Eric who rushed through seeing me. Scheduled both new mri scans of my tspine and lspine. EMG studies. Epidural injections. And prescribed 2 medications. A nerve pill called lyrica. Which is 600$ with my insurance. and xtampza. My pharmacy has to order, and wont have for a week- costs 300$
I've been to many places trying to get my back fixed over this 2 yrs journey and non were as disappointing as this. After waiting for 30 to 45 minutes I was called back into this hallway to provide more Q&A and I was informed that I would have to provide a urine sample (unbeknownst to me how much this would cost, after 3 weeks my benefits statement came. To test my urine without insurance would cost me $2005. Unbelievable). After I was called back I saw a P.A. at no time did I see the doctor. I've had bad experiences with P.A.'s over these 2 yrs. He sounded knowledgeable but I'm overly concerned when it come to my back. After I had prescriptions in hand one common pain medication and some new one I was off to find this new medication, 3 pharmacies later. They didn't help whatsoever. A few weeks in I called asking to be seen earlier than my next appointment because this new drug was a joke and didn't do a thing to help me. I got no return call.
I will not be going back and I will not refer anyone to them ever. I've been to many specialist for many different things over my recent years in cities as far away as NYC and this doctor I didn't even see!
I know with the current negativity with pain medication everyone seems to be lumped into a group but doctor's need to treat everyone as an individual not as a group. Stand up for what is right by the patient not what the government says needs to happen. They swore an oath to help even in this dark time of opioid issues.
