I am a small business owner and decided to take the guys that help me throughout the year out for a Christmas dinner. I decided to take everyone to Hoffman's because historically the food and service was excellent for the Hagerstown area. (I had forgotten Johnny Hoffman sold the restaurant this summer) Very loud and hard to hear the conversation at my table. The service was average. However, the César salads were warm and the dressing had a bad taste. Someone ordered a pork chop that was very dry, the ribs were extra fatty and grisly, and the filet I ordered was way over cooked (I ordered medium rare). 3 of the 7 meals were not to par. After, what seemed like a long-time, my second steak was cooked perfectly and did have a good taste. I have previously highly recommended Hoffman's All American Steakhouse to people I know. Now, I feel like "it's not what it used to be."
Food and service great.
My hubby and I enjoyed a business lunch here today. It was our first visit, but will definitely not be our last. The menu was simple, not overwhelming, and everything we ordered was delicious. Bobby Lynn gave us excellent service.
Decent lunch menu, not the fastest service times but food is always worth the wait.
Seemed like food took alittle long to be brought to table while not crowded (1:15ish on a Wed). Didnt matter much due to good conversation.
In the future I will drive to Frederick and go to Dutch's Daughter.
Great food. Great atmosphere. Great service. We had a party of eight for a friend's birthday. The server was very attentive and checked back with us often. The food came in a timely manner and was prepared perfectly.
