I rented a home Bowen Property had listed in Hagerstown. I paid my monthly rent of $1,900 a month, ON TIME each and every single month. The agent they had handling this property was very unprofessional. Last summer the Air Condition unit broke, it was 90 degrees in the house. The agent said the only thing she could suggest is we "sleep downstairs, it might be cooler there, the owners of the home are in Japan si it might be awhile before they can get anyone to look at the unit". The lease included grass cutting and landscaping, the guy did come every week to cut the grass but he never did the flower beds, I called the agent numerous times to ask her to have them weed eat around the flower beds as the grass in and around the flower beds were extremely tall, about up to my hip and I feared it would attract snakes. I have 4 kids. The agent said she would call me back, well about 2 months later I finally got a call back after leaving several voicemails just for her to ask if we could pick ask the weeds and if we could put the mulch down if they dropped a load in the front yard! Upon moving I had all the carpets professionally shampooed and the home professionally cleaned. I submitted the receipt for both as proof. When they refunded my security deposit they took off $110 because they said the bathroom and kitchen needed to be cleaned. I emailed the new agent because apparently the original agent was fired. I submitted picture proof of every single room in the home that was left spotless and I advised them the cleaning company offers a satisfaction guarantee, if something was wrong and not up to their standards I could have called them with 48 hours and they would have been back out there. The agent replied via email " had we known there was a guarantee we would have called them back". I replied " had you looked at the receipt submitted you would have known". After that she never responded, I even left a voicemail for the owner, Mr. Bowen to contact me and I never received a call back. Bottom line, I will never rent a property again listed by Bowen Property and I would never list anything I have for rent with Bowen Property!
