I went in just to browse because I had never been into Plato's closet. I won't go back. The clothing is way too expensive for a used consignment store. They wanted $18 for a used pair of athletic pants. I would rather go to Goodwill and spend $18 on 5 or 6 pairs of pants rather than one pair.
Unreal. It's a joke. Don't take your clothes there. The rude staff told my son it would be about 2.5 hrs to look through his clothes. 3 hours later, the decided they would pay him $9.00. I'll never ever shop there. My son wears nothing but the best. Guess since doesn't dress like a hood rat, they want nothing to do with you.
I gave 2 stars because I love the second-hand concept, in general.
I recently visited this location with my cousin and we were both appalled the moment we walked in the door. The lyrics of the music (that was playing very loudly throughout the store) were about sex and doing drugs together. I had my young child with me and felt this was highly inappropriate. The only reason I did not leave immediately was that my cousin drove a distance to come to this store.
I had heard that Plato's closet was very selective of what they bought and sold. I now find that very hard to believe. Two of the items my cousin was interested in had very large holes and tears in the fabric. Some of the items I looked at had grease stains and heavily dirt-stained cuffs.
My wife loves this place spent twenty three bucks on two pairs of jeans retail would have been well over sixty dollars. great selection of name brand clothing
I brought 2 boxes of clothes in, they went through about half my stuff and took 3 things. My stuff was thrown in the box carelessly when I got it back & I was told everything I had was out of date. There was plain v-neck shirts, & brand new American eagle jeans that didn't even take. They took some short shorts thats it. Such a joke. Your store isn't a high end name brand store. Its a fancy goodwill. Unbelievable.
