It's been over 2.5 years since I've been to Krumpe's. And I MISS it so much. When my husband and I lived in VA, we would drive over 1 hour to go grab donuts from Krumpe's. The first time we went, we thought the location was super creepy. So we were afraid the donuts weren't going to be great. Oh boy, we were wrong. The trip was way worth it; and the staff was amazing. When we told the staff it was the first time we were there and not sure what to get the staff grabbed a donut right off the line and gave us samples. These donuts melt in your mouth. I cannot stress how delicious these donuts are... They are actually the best I have ever had in my entire life. We were hooked and went there very often when living in the VA, WV areas. Every time we go, there is a long line and never enough parking spaces. But we never cared. Best customer service and food =) Now that we are in Charlotte, NC, we miss it and wish there is a Krumpe's down here!!!
Very good. Tried a peach donut, light topping with fresh peaches. Very friendly staff. Can't stand Dunkin', but I'm a huge fan of the "Hot" other. But this place is worth the effort and weird hours.
Fresh, delicious, homemade and often warm donuts with a pretty diverse selection. Prices are beyond reasonable for the quality. Be prepared to wait in line, though it is well worth the time. Every person on staff was very friendly, and you get to have some good conversations with friendly people while you wait. Of you don't know what to chat about, we'll the donuts are a good start!
Came from Crown Point, IN to get some Krumpe donuts. Lived in Hagerstown as a child. Always remember the best donut in the world at Krumpe's. Family always thought I was coming to visit them, but my thoughts were always of pulling into the alley late at night for the treasure which lie inside. No better donut anywhere. At least between Chicago and Baltimore.
Odd hours and location. Back alley donuts are worth the effort. It's a yeast raised donut that is fluffy but still somehow has a heavy bite. Just try one already.
